No SD slot, and it's SSD.

The only peripheral thing announced was the dock connector, but I'm really curious what you can output to a TV with it. It'll probably be as useless as the iPod Touch is for a home theater media solution.

If there's some way to use a real keyboard with it, it won't be utterly useless...Unfortunately, no matter how good Apple's handwriting recognition is, there's no substitute for how quickly I can type when it comes to a portable internet capable data device that's meant to be carried around with you

Yeah the external dock keyboard is what I meant. The on-screen keyboard is useless for writing code with, which is about 60-75% of what I'd use a device like that for.

I doubt there shipping XCode with it, and, unless there's a IDE App being developed, I think you're SOL.

Carrying around an iPad like a phone would be hilarious. It does look like a giant, fat iPhone. They could start making shirts with a giant pocket from your chest to your belt so you could slide that bad boy in and out any time someone Skyped you.

But what I said was that I wished they'd offer a 3G plan for my iPod Touch like they're offering for the iPad, unless you were being sarcastic and I just didn't get it.

I read it wrong. My guess is that I really wanted someone to say they'd use an iPad instead of a phone because that would be hilarious. I pictured someone with an iPad in one of those silly cell phone type holsters on their belt.

I saw that it also has GPS. I wonder if there will be a giant mount for your dashboard. You can also use it as a giant compass. The giant applications are endless! Well, endless as long as you already have a computer (I wonder if it has to be giant, too) to plug it in to.

I would say that 10 hours of web surfing is impressive, but because all they did was cram some of the components of a cell phone into a 9.5" x 7.5" x 0.5" case, they must have had a lot of room left for the battery.

Youtube has it's own special app on the iPhone that launches from a URL. I would assume the same is true for the iPad.

Yep, YouTube App, which is just an H.264 player I think.

Still no Flash and no multitasking, this thing is just a glorified iPhone. Seems pretty pointless to me, it'd need to be closer to a Mac than an iPhone to make it worth it.
