did anyone check out ps3 on ebay???......I was watching an auction on there and saw a ps3 sell for $15,0055.00 !!!! the average price was around 2 to 4,000.. why would anyone want to spend that much on a vidoe game system?? dont get me wrong I like my vidoe games but come on 15 grand for a ps3???...that and people shooting each other over it?!?!

There where only a limited number of PS3's that stores had so there are only a limited number out causing inflation. The next batch (from what I have heard) won't come out for a while which is making the hype even bigger.
I think I would wait in a line for two days to buy something for $600 and make a profit of around 3,500. That is a HELL of a lot of money and i think that it would worth it.

Yeah, while it'd be cool to be the first kid on the block with a new toy, it'd be WAY cooler to be the kid walking away with $15k profit after selling said toy.

I have played the ps3 a few times and I am unimpressed. Concidering it is a $600 next gen console and I was playing on an HDTV, it really didnt look that much better than my old xbox on my crappy standard tv.
I am definately gonna wait a few years for these consoles to drop in price a bit.

These guys who are buying the first batch of ps3s are morons. The first consoles on the shelves ALWAYS have problems.
The 360 had dvd drive and power supply issues during the first release and the PS3 will have something similar. These dudes are paying 1000+ for something that has not been debugged.

The WII would be my choice. I have always liked Nintendo and their games. And besides that it is much cheaper then the PS3. I have seen it for as low as $300 to as high as $3000 on ebay.

I checked out the wii controller yesterday at walmart. I didnt know they were releasing an oldschool controller as well as the stick/wand controller.

I just found out yesterday that one of my friends got the WII. He said the he likes the idea of the two controllers and the moving around. He said that it has problems with freezing sometimes in games and in the internet browser. Other than that he said it is totally worth the money. I did get a chance to play it at his house and I think I have to agree with him. I played both Zelda and Red Steel. Moving my controller around to make he guy do moves in Red Steel just felt right.

It was the same way with the 360 last year. Some people just have too much money to piss away. Im suprised sony and the other companies dont jack the price way up for the first batch since they know some people will pay it. I was pretty suprised that the Wii's pricetag is so reasonalbe. I will probly buy one next year sometime as I am a big zelda fanatic, but I definitly will wait for a 2nd+ batch. first run consoles are always full of problems. I did finally break down and get a PSP last week which really kicks ass, I just wish they had more RPG's for it (that arent full of characters with pastel colored hair and big eyes )
