I don't know which is worse, this or the time Finland was leading Sweden 5-1 only to lose 5-6. =)

man, finland wasn't really playing bad
usa just had tons of great opportunities...
not sayin they can or cant come back, but its a good game
i feel bad for the goalie, he really only made one mistake, the rest i'd blame on lack of defensive help, not clearing the puck etc

Everything went haywire after the first gift goal. The defense wasn't really helping but there's no excuse for just lying down in front of the goal all the time. Of course USA played fantastically, but the reason they had so many great opportunities was because Finland didn't really do anything to stop them. Kipper made a huge mistake which affected the whole team for the first period, period. After that it's been hockey as normal though. A shame really, could have been a helluva match.

Perhaps you should look back a couple of decades worth of the Olympic games Hockey and the world championships. i don't follow the game because of stupid Finnish defense guys and often the coaches as well. No reason to watch bumbling idiots in defense department ruining it for everybody except the opposition. No wonder Finland has great goalies. With that kind of friends you don't need opposition Then there's the matter of laziness in addition to stupid. Yawn. I was told at work that In Torino olympics Finland won over the US does that count? Plus what Jussi wrote of the world championship in 1995.
