oh yeah the raptors.

So what happens with someone like Gilbert Arenas. Could felonies cause him to get stuck at the border for a game at the raptors?

They aren't supposed to let you in the country if you have a DUI, which could have a major affect on lots of sports teams.

I imagine there's some deals being made that lets teams cross borders both ways easily, even with non-American and non-Canadian players.

I missed this thread last week. We'd be happy to keep Crosby up here if you guys don't want him. He looks good in Red, he could play for Calgary with Iginla!

This is kinda fuzzy in my memory, but Bob Probert couldn't go to games in Canada for awhile. He got clipped at the border with Cocaine and did a short prison stretch for smuggling (it must have been a LOT of Cocaine.) I'm not sure if that was because of his probation for the Cocaine-smuggling or if the Canadians just wouldn't let him in, but at least for awhile when he was with the Red Wings he had to stay in the U.S.

For you young guys who don't remember, this was Bob Probert. The Probert-Marty McSorley fight in '94 was the NHL version of Ali-Frasier. He was a bad ass.
