yeah im sure he will finish top 5 in 2b(he is looking like this years Aaron Hill). There seems to be a lack of power at a lot of positions this year. Lots of teams have been taking to the small ball/defense strategy in order to compete. there are very few top notch 3b anymore.

I don't expect anyone to pull ahead in this league. with only 8 teams it should stay very very competitive.

That's why you should draft a good one with your first two picks. I've got teams in a couple leagues, just couldn't commit to another one. 4-0 and 3-1 Head to Head pts for $$. A good approach (well it depends on the format) is to draft power hitting infielders in your early picks. You can't dodge speed in the outfield, and outfielders really are a dime a dozen.

This is how my draft strategy went this yr. 3B, 2B, 1B, P, P, SS, P, P, then I started thinking about outfielders. My team looks unbeatable right now in one of the leagues if everyone stays healthy. Buttt it's only May.

This league and another one I'm in really reminded me how much I like doing fantasy but I really like the other one I'm in b/c it uses more advanced stats for scoring and I am saber nerd. One league that I didn't have time to sign up for looked really interesting with the stats they measured:

10 teams, only given 3 moves per week, 5 active outfielders, 2 utility spots and an extra corner IF spot, 10 active pitcher spots. You have to work to find guys that are going to put you on top.

Cano has been freakish this year and as an O's fan and someone who doesn't own him, he is starting to piss me off.

I feel you there, I'm not a baseball person. I have fallen from 1st to 6th in our league now. A football league though, I guarantee a top 3 finish.

Do those of us in the baseball league get first dibs at a football team spot? How about a keeper league?

I have always been average at football, usually have one of those teams that flames out because players get rested during the fantasy playoffs. i usually do pretty well at baseball and basketball(my best).

I would think the baseball guys should fill it up first and then try to fill the league with other DGR people after that. I think fantasy football usually gets a bigger draw as well. I am also in favor of making this a keeper league, so anyone interested should plan on doing this for the extended future and not just one season
