final four

Postby Roy » Wed Mar 17, 2010 9:19 pm

Here's my 2. I might do some editing on the first one since points are based on rank...

1 (points based on rank, so underdogs are worth more)
Kansas
W. Virginia
Pittsburg
Villanova

2 (regular scoring)
Kansas
Kansas state
Kentucky
Villanova

Kansas

And unlike usual, this year I have not done my homework, I have no idea what I'm doing.

final 4:
ohio state
kansas state
texas
duke

Yeah I am a homer picking Texas. but I actually researched all my picks pretty well. If texas makes it to round 2 vs Kentucky, I think the matchup favors texas. Wall hasn't faced the type of on ball defenders that Texas has. it is an easy road for Texas after that. Baylor has a legit shot in the Duke region, one of the most balanced/experienced starting 5s around, they just dont make mistakes. the big 12 is so strong this year, it is scary. there will be 2 big 12 teams in the final 4.

Some of the second round has already been played, but....

Kansas St.
Ohio St.
Baylor
West Virginia

This is my final four. I think it will be West Virginia and Kansas St. with Kansas St. winning it.

Actually, I was born and raised in Arkansas, so I'm really a Hogs fan. We're living up here so I can pursue my Master's.

When it comes to the Wildcats, some of the fans come off a little cocky especially when it comes to the Louisville Cardinals. I'm sure the same could be said about any team.

As far as the bracket is concerned, I think Kentucky doesn't have enough experience to win it. They have had too many close games with teams that aren't as good. To be honest, the SEC is not as stout in basketball as it is in football. I think this has helped Kentucky's record. With all that said, they probably have the best raw talent than any team in the NCAA.

I like to hear that. I grew up in Arkansas, and went to the U of A for my undergrad.

The KSU / Xavier game was the best I've seen in a while. Not because both teams played well for spurts, but because both of those teams were draining impossible shots all night long. I don't think I sat down for the last 90 minutes of the game.

UK better figure out how to make some free throws. There aren't any more 12 seeds they can slack off on and expect to win.
