MAC Users...HELP!!

I'm calling out to his "MAC" friends.... My Intel-based Mac Mini wont power on. The LED comes on...and the fans run...but there is no video at all. I tried resetting the SMC...but that didn't help. Also, swapped the outlet the power was pulling from. HELP!!!

sounds like your PRAM battery is dead. if this is the case you'll have to replace that battery to get video back. google on that..

when did you get the machine? do you leave it off or reboot much?

it takes several years to kill a PRAM battery but i've done it twice. sometimes a freak can go quick. it's a cheap but PITA fix unless you can get it locally (Fry's).

would the PRAM prevent power to the USBs as well? my laser mouse = zero juice...

i can crack the mac mini open myself...where do i get a battery?

yeah it won't do shit till it gets a new PRAM battery. it's super important to the system apparently.

google for the PRAM battery of ___insert-your-model____ then google for where to buy that battery. they're like $5ish and common on ebay.

Try best buy. One of the ones by me has a Mac section and a Genius Bar. Also, I love my Mini.
