Doodles of famous artists go for high dollar. Many artists end up as doodleists because you have to produce a lot of work to live. Very few make oddles of money from one work; during their liftetimes. Look at the amount of work produced by Picasso for instance. I have a huge tome of his work that simply covers his early stuff; with the pink and blue periods included. Believe this was just the first 1/4 of his life; and the amount of work is staggering. Therefore, he was a doodleist; albeit a talented one....

I'm not sure I'd call an artist "doodleist" just because they were prolific.

I'm not going to say her art sucks.. but I can't promise you that I won't think it. But good for her, she discovered the magical world of ignorant custy's.

I think I might be as freaked out by it as VonD if I wasn't currently selling some of my art on DGCR for way more than what she's getting.

I haven't posted any of mine in the marketplace. I just put a bunch of Dx stamp etchings in the disc pass for free and then sent BCR one for the secret santa, people saw them and have been private messaging me. i posted a couple of old etchings i did a few pages up i think... maybe that was another thread. well here's an example.

i've done 16 etchings of that image, my third best seller to date.

I just don't understand what people are doing with those horrible things. Do they plan on framing them and hanging them up? Only scenario that makes any since is they are putting them on the fridge so when their friends come over they can say, "Hey, look what my kid did"...

lol, i mean.. it's subjective. there's art in major museums that i look at and laugh.

i will say that one of my good friends who has never done anything artistic in his life just started doing sharpie art on shirts and hats and it looks way nicer than her stuff.

@Frank.. i'd be glad to do one for you if you're interested. pm me.. so we can be alone.

Yeah it can be done well... Just no one has told her yet.

Look at the detail on this SOB. One mistake and you have to start over. She just scribbles over her mistakes....

maybe we're looking at this the wrong way.. maybe she's really good and is just scribbling like that because she's discovered people like scribbles and will pay for it.
