Cool Websites not related to disc golf

Postby roadkill » Mon Feb 19, 2007 4:37 pm

I thought I'd start a thread about cool websites here. The pdga has such a thread and it's one of my favorite threads over there.

Here's a site I found through stumble:

http://www.popularfront.com/snowdays/

You can design snowflakes in seconds. Infinite amount of designs. After you finish your design you can print it or email it. Wives and girlfriends like it.

hehe, I was going to start a similar thread, but you beat me to it! I frequently find myself bored at work, so any cool websites you guys can find will be much appreciated!

Here's a couple...

Feel like watching some TV? Maybe a movie? Some Aqua Teen? Check out http://www.alluc.org/alluc/ Lots of stuff to choose from...youtube quality video, but certanily watchable...might be difficult at work though.

And for some pretty cool flash games, check out http://www.miniclip.com/games/en/ I can recommend Silver Sphere as a good one...can be a wee bit frustrating, but a good puzzle game nonetheless.

This site is Stumble Upon

http://www.stumbleupon.com/

This is undoubtedly the most valuable tool for me in finding resources on the internet. You download a toolbar that enables you to peruse websites related to your interest or inquiry. You choose a topic, hit the stumble button on the toolbar and suddenly a website pertaining to your chosen interest appears. Want to see another? Hit the button again and another pops up. Once you get the hang of using it you won't surf the internet any other way.

PS. Believe it or not I was not compensated for this glowing endorsement.

Milk and Cookies

Lots of funny and off-the-wall internet/TV clips on this site. Good stuff.

Thanks a lot, roadkill! As if I didn't spend enough time surfing the web...now I have to see that 'Stumble!' button quietly beckoning me, promising endless hours of entertainment whilst I feebly try and concentrate on the mundane task that is homework!

Woe is me...all is lost!

:P

Was turned on to this site not long ago but so far I have seen some monster deals! Too bad most of the time I remember to go on there all they have is stuff for women...maybe my gf might get a present! Have seen some pretty sweet shoes and jackets.

I played that game for like 2 weeks straight, whenever I had free time. Definately one of the better flash games I have played. I can't remember what my best score was but I think it was in the 300s but not sure.

Yeah, that was one of my first stumbles as well. Although I had played it before about a year ago when it was linked off the thread on the pdga site. My best score in about 15 tries was 190 seconds.
