I never wore watches until i hit my early 20's for some reason. I guess I never saw the point since I always had a cell phone.

I think when I got into fitness I decided it was time to get a reliable sports watch. Ended up with one of these...(Freestyle Shark)

Waterproof, reliable, decent amount of features without being overloaded with useless shit, and all for around $40 shipped. They're really basic looking but you can get some funky color schemes too(mines digital camo)

I've had it for like 3 years now with no issues. Taken it out surfing probably 30+ times. Its useful to have a watch when you're playing a round of golf, since you don't have to root around your bag for your phone.
