i was under the impression that no one north of the mason dixon line drank iced tea. i was in detroit once and asked for sweet tea, they looked at me like i was crazy, then they brought me some hot tea...

You have to call it "iced tea" to get what you want. Even then you'll have to put the sugar in yourself.

I was raised catholic but never really gave it much thought and I just followed blindly. Then one day I realized what a load of horse shit it was and decided that I don't need a 2 thousand yr old book telling me what to do.

You beat me to it. On the way home, I noticed many of the local restaurants advertising fish specials. I didn't know we could eat fish! I may have to convert..

I've lived in the south my entire life and couldn't believe that other places didn't have sweet tea. I mean, I'd heard on good word from various people but having never been beyond the mason-dixon line myself I simply didn't know.

Then I went to Seattle. Not only did the REI store not have any DG, but nowhere in Seattle had sweet tea.

How some people get through life in this world is beyond me...

I mostly don't care what people do and don't care if they wanna give stuff up for lent even though i think its dumb (my gf gave up soda sortakindawhatever)

I didn't even know it was ash Wednesday last week untill these two women get in the elevator with the ash croses on their forehead. As if singing and chanting in unison every Sunday wasn't weird enough it must now be coupled with ash crosses on peoples foreheads.

right and the bible says stuff about not praising in the streets or whatever and not putting on a sad face when you are fasting . Well what do you think you are going when you have a big black cross on your head? Thats what I dont get among other things.
