how much for the ps1 games? i am interested in tactics, legend of mana and xenogears.

I have been dying to get suikoden 1 and 2 again. how hard is suikoden 3 to come by? used game stores don't support ps1 anymore and most of the great ps2 games are so hard to come by. as much as I love the next gen systems it stinks to see the older stuff being phased out of used game stores.

price depends on the game.

have offers of $30 on legend of mana, $30 on ff tactics and an offer of $25 on the xenogears. while kinda spendy it is still quite a bit cheaper than ebay for black label complete ones.

will probably take it unless someone makes me a more convenient offer. those prices involve me delivering them to 10+ miles away.

suikoden 3 isn't that hard to track down locally. would require a few phone calls. is $25-$35.

You should never buy strategy guides for games, you can get them free at www.gamefaqs.com

They are all made by members and are very informative, they just don't have pictures. I haven't bought a guide in years since I got on that site.

heh. if you had read the original thread before it got deleted, you would know that i don't use strategy guides unless i'm playing the game for the second time and deciding to get and do everything that i didn't do the first time (i.e. ultimate weapons in final fantasy, etc.).

i look at the guides as more of a collectable. for a good number of games, the strategy guides are worth more than the games are worth. e.g. final fantasy anthology is worth ~$10-15 if it's greatest hits, ~$20-25 if it's black label, but the strat guide is worth $40+, and i've seen it go for as high as $65-70.

unfortunately, even though my local area has 14 collectable/vintage game shops, none of them take on strategy guides at what they are actually worth (most any will offer is $7-10 store credit for rare guides, most offer $1 cash or $2-3 store credit). the end result is that none of them are able to stock a decent array of guides since anyone that knows what they have is unwilling to part with a $50 strat guide for $3. granted, only about 1 in 6 game collectors also collects strat guides, but there are plenty of them willing to throw down $50 on a guide worth $50 if they could find it locally.

the majority of my guides were purchased at used book stores in the $3-10 range, including a half dozen that were worth $30+. since i am down to my last 2 guides to complete my guide collection and i've sold a bunch of rare games lately, i'm willing to drop $50 ea. on the last 2 that i need. hence, if anyone lives near some used bookstores, etc. and is willing to put in a little effort and find one of those two, they could make a bit of profit. e.g. the half price books chain sells all their guides between $2.98 and $14.98, with the majority being $7.49-9.98, if someone got lucky and found one of those, i would send them $50 or a stack of discs and they would net a nice profit chunk.

I found a final fantasy VII strategy guide in my attic last week if you want it. It's not in the greatest shape, someone threw a couple darts at it and spilled a little water on the cover. I'm not a FF fan so I'll probably throw it in the closet and let it sit there unless you want it.

I have 2-3 of the Saturn games listed I believe. I will look for them in the next couple of days and see if they are complete or just a disc in a sleeve. I may have to play them again before giving them up though, :P

What's funny is I think I have roms of mostof the games you're selling for eventual play on my PSP. Maybe I should legalize a couple of them, huh?
