Apple G4 MAC

So I am picking up a used G4 tomorrow for $70. It is going to be used for burning dvd's, music, internet, ect. This is my first MAC, so I don't know what to expect. Any reccomended upgrades or improvements? It has 10gb hard drive, 450mb ram, DVD rom and AGP graphics card with dual outputs (standard vga and DVI). I am going to need a bigger hard drive I know, but for the price I thought it was okay.

1st improvement: uninstall the mac OS, install Ubuntu

first thing is increase the ram. then install OS 10.4(tiger). then you aught to be set
you can upgrade the HDD and you may need to if your gonna kepp music on it. im a mac guy so if you have any questions PM me.

But hey...even if you keep the Mac OS; at least it's not Windows!

What would you guys reccomend for upgrading the ram and hard drive? Do the G4s use the same components as a PC???? If anyone has a link to a good web site for deals, please hit me up with the link. Thanks for all the help!

Newegg is the best place to get computer stuff for mac or pc. I'm not sure about compatibility, because all I have are pc's.

Alright, another question. I had been using dvd shrink, and dvd decrypter to burn DVDs on my PC. What is a good program to use for the MAC???

mac the ripper. i dont know a good shrinking program becuase i never needed one, as the hard rive in my mac is huge for what i have on it. but yeah mac the ripper is the best ripper for macs.
