In a Finnish newspaper today told to me:

How about hip explosion or bombing out drives? Or in the case of two Swiss students finding a frisbee in the Donau in Budapest and tossingthe 6 kilo disc to each other. It seemed to unwise to do something equivalent of getting bombed in hindsight.

For some odd reason the local beach life guard stopped them. How antisocial of him. It took the local bomb disposal unit to handle the frisbee...

Considering that old explosives get more volatile and in water the detonators corrode and sometimes spontaneously detonate the main charge I'd say it would have to have been quite unstable. Not sure about understable except the (cough sorry) tossers would've been anything but stable if the mine had gone off.
