online radio?

Postby domromer » Tue Oct 16, 2007 8:11 pm

Anyone listening to web based radio stations? What are some good stations? The local radio here sucks and I'm not willing to shell out for satellite.

I'm glad you like it. It's fun how one band leads you to another and another etc....

Exactly, I've already heard a few bands I want to check out more. I can't believe I've never heard of this service before.

Wow, Pandora is wicked awesome! I can't believe I'm just hearing about this now.
Thanks for the recommendation.

I listen to http://www.Sky.fm too which is really good as well. Pandora seems better tho. Sky works with winamp, does pandora?

I've been listening to pandora for a while now and I can say that it has turned me on to alot of different artists.

The only gripe I have is that it seems to play the same tracks from a specific artist.

Pandora is nice, but I get sick of all the live versions.

Last.fm is good. It works similar to Pandora.

I listen to Pandora all day at work and it rocks. Help them out and check out their sponsors.

Also, make sure that any time Soundexchange wants to unfairly charge internet radio you get involved.

My Pandora station: http://www.pandora.com/?sc=sh138199648025329030

Seeded with indie rock, a touch of punk, a bit of grunge and some undefinable bands.

Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Broken Social Scene, Guided by Voices, Cursive, Pearl Jam, Alkaline Trio, and Sunset Rubdown. Many more glorious artists/songs also.
