Yo Chuck!

Postby Frank Delicious » Wed Jul 23, 2008 11:47 am

I just wanted to say that while I don't always agree with you, you are the most patient person on the PDGA board. I can barely stand to read they rules forum at the PDGA because every thread is the same.

1) Someone asks an innocent question

2) Someone answers the question correctly or incorrectly.

3) You post either confirming or correcting the above poster

4) someone calls you wrong. Bonus when they give some crazy situation that doesn't ever happen like in the 2 meter rule thread.

5) you correct them again.

6) they argue the point some more.

7) the thread finally dies after 30 pages of no body listening to anyone.

So good job not flipping out on everyone.

Seriously.

That forum is the worst.

Seriously.

Glad I missed those. Arguing DG rules is like aruing the legalities of your interpretation of the Constitution ... wait ... OK, lets hear it for situational ethics.

And he's got one of the most creative signatures I've ever seen:

"Rater of the Tossed Arc"

A play on 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'
A pun since Chuck designed and maintains the PDGA's rating system and thus...rates our tossed arcs

Well done sir; well done. :P

It was funny until you explained it.

Guilty as charged. :P

It was still funnier (and perfectly understandable) without the explanation.

Thanks. I had my mind "flame proofed" many years ago so I don't mind stepping in the fire and handling the heat on those discussions. The trick is to write two posts for each response. The first one you do offline for what you'd really like to say but would get banned if you post it. Throw that one away. Then write the nicer post you hopefully see...

I have written twice as many posts than the ones I actually posted

Mainly since I got banned off the home PC and my wife got locked out as well :D
