Two down after the first 8... started thinking about parring the course for the day... then blew up for my worst round since winter....

I've done that before...i've learned never think a hole or course ahead...just play the lie you are on (the basket)

I've been able to do a lot better that way. Then you don't think too much or question throws or discs to use and how to use.

I just play relaxed and within my comfort zone. I'm able to keep up and pass a lot of players this way.

But, everyone is different.
What course/tourny you playing in?

I went out about a month ago and played a round after not having played for 2 months. I promptly shot a -9 for my best round ever at that course. I still can't explain it.

Sometimes time off helps us get rejuvinated. Even though we don't feel/realize it, we suffer from fatigue at times. I know when I have time off, I'm not only playing every day but several times a day.

I make it a point not to think about, or even know my score if I can help it, during a round. Even when I am the one with the card, I write down my score as quickly as possible and then don't think about it. I find that if I think, 'wow, i'm 2 down' or whatever, it really throws me off.

I basically try to think of nothing but my very next shot.

I think that way to. Just play and dont worry about it.
Then at the end of the round I get my score, and I 'm satisfied.
It puts to much pressure on me know I have to birdie or par to beat someone.
Throws off the concentration.
