Saw this same idea somewhere, I think this site, but not sure where. I liked it and blatantly stole it. So credit to whoever had the original.

New camera kinda sucks so you can't tell too well. It's got a dye on the front and the back to give it a cool 3d effect.

First multi color/shade. Must remember to save my white discs for these.

How do you guys get the multi color to come out so well??
What is your dying method??

And how do you get the fine lines to work so well?

With the multi shade for each color I carve and peel the darker areas and just cut the lighter areas. Then I dye the darkers for about 10 minutes take it out cool it off peel off the lighter areas and put it in for another 5. Multi color just go from the darkest color to the lightest and after the first dye I shine a spot light under the disc to line up the designs for each carve.
As for fine lines, just trace your line then carve next to it.

Well you can take it in the first sentence as carve what you're removing and cut what you're not. But really, it's just whatever word I felt like using at the moment.

Toying around with several different shades. Unfortunately the constant dipping stripping and dipping again began to have some off effects on the cheap contact paper I used resulting in some spots not getting dye. I'm not too disappointed it fits the style of the original art.
