Could you have a button that will show the topics that have been most currently active? Say like, the last 30 or so posts. Sometimes that's nice when you log on because you can catch up to the latest "chat."

Every time I log on it shows me which threads have new posts since the last time I was on. In fact, just updating the Index page will do the same thing.

there is also a "view posts since last visit" option, although i usually just look for the little orange flag on the left of each topic that indicates new activity. this only works if you have cookies enabled BTW, so that copuld be a problem.

Def true, the orange flags work but Im partial to the Show post since last visit. Saves me time, and puts all the newly posted posts in one area so I can just hit back and go to the list.

I don't know if this is a recent addition, or if it was added because of this thread, but there is now a link in the upper right-hand corner of the forum's homepage that says 'View posts since last visit'
