How to make threads not display that they have new comments.

Before the changeover I could easily tell which threads I had read and which ones had new comments in them because of the colored icon. This still happens but it seems that it stays that way forever. For example, before If I was away from the forums for a week, nearly every subtopic would be full of new stuff. If I only read half of them, and came back a couple hours later it would only flag stuff from those couple hours as new. Now, threads never get unflagged, which makes it hard to see what topics have been active recently.

I hope that is clear, kind of hard to explain what I'm trying to ask.

In the upper right hand corner, click on "View New Posts". That's working well for me.
