Can anyone recommend any of the softshell jackets that are frequently on Steep and Cheap...brands like Marmot and Back Country seem to be on there a lot.
I haven't even tried one on but they seem like the perfect winter jacket for DG.

I have the backcountry.com Shift softshell. It's really nice. It's made in Canada, and is cut and finished similar to Arc'teryx, so I suspect they may be manufacturing them. I grabbed it off sac for about $100 over a year ago, and wear it all the time.Jaysus wrote:Marmot make top notch gear, you can't go wrong with them
The Backcountry labeled one looks pretty decent - not sure who makes them though.
