skull cap with brim?

Postby RS39 » Wed Nov 26, 2008 7:13 am

For winter play, I'd like to find a knit/fleece cap with a ball cap front visor brim to keep the wet off my glasses.

Anybody know where to find one or have a better idea?

Thanks

Try searching for a "jeep cap/beanie." Most clothing/accessory companies have at least one... Here are a few options.

Does the functionality of those hats really outweigh the ugly factor?

I got one one as a gift a couple years back. I hated them until I started using it. I love it for winter rounds. I got a Timberland one and its nice.

REI All Weather LED Cap - Men's
Item # 771073
$29.50

Or maybe this, enough stretch/wrap fit to not blow off into the muck, plus a proper full bill. And the dork light may the schniz for winter dinner grilling.

I don't mind a damp baseball cap when it's warm but winter is winter. I play just fine w/o glasses; it's spotting where the huk landed in the snow.

And I may just need a new can of Scotchguard for a cheap old hat.....

saw this in one of my parents' catalogs when I was back east...doesn't seem like a bad idea, especially if you feel like only regular ball caps fit "right" (I tried on one of the Huk Lab billed beanies, and my friend just busted up laughing, so I imagine it wasn't a good fit for me). Still might not win any cool points, but it seems pretty practical. http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/clot ... or=content

The Phillies wore something like that during the World Series:

Not bad. Not great, but not bad.
My next dome piece purchase will be one of these bad boys. I'm hoping Santa hears me...

Nice! Too bad there's a Pirates logo on it. I may have to write Santa a letter for one of those, just with a big ole Cubby on it.

I saw that. Too bad they don't have it big enough for my fat head.
