I threw one for a little bit after it's release. The poppy top is cool, but the disc isnt. I'd just stick to a more traditional midrange.

A buddy of mine's wife throws it a ton as a midrange and is really good with it. She likes the rounded rim. I tried it and hated it which how she got her first one.

I agree with the glide and putter statement. Supposedly if you pop the top down it changes the stability.

Yes, the top up it's understable, and the top down is overstable.
It's a really cool disc, and I love how Steve is always thinking outside the box for disc designs, but the Wildfire just didnt do it for me.

i kinda liked it, i didn't thow it much or with much power. but for a lower power thrower its not too bad. I wouldn't waste my money on one though.

I've thrown the backbone which is real close to the Wildfire.
Backbone/Wildfire have the WORST RIM DESIGN EVARRRRR!!!! The backbone was very touchy. Too much juice and it flipped like your girlfriend. Too little and its real overstable.

I give backbones to newer and low power players. The rim design will come out of your hand easier at lower speeds. Easier=more consistent
