I love swirly discs! Some awesome ones in this thread. Mine are more subtle than a few here, but that kinda adds to the interest. Look like a solid color until you get really close to them and give them a good look.

I can't take a picture to save my life, so you can just barely tell from my pics, but it is the best I can do.

Yea, my sister got me that FL for christmas. Don't know anything about it, but I'm gonna give him a call sometime and find out what exactly a portable course is. Sounds cool.

I think the ribbon is for playing in snow... finding the disc if it goes under.

Can't be easy throwing and I'd imagine it woud affect the flight as well, no?

Interesting. We just always use bright colored disc and hope for the best lol.
I bet that would be tough to throw a disc with Ribbon on it.

Yea, it's so I can find it in the snow. A light ribbon like that hardly changes the flight and I only use it from the tee. All my approach and putts are done without ribbons as I will see where they land usually. I don't have any problem throwing with the ribbon. When throwing in the snow, my feet are always sliding around anyways so my shots are hardly accurate.

I ended up using ribbon exactly like your photo for a week or two this winter. First time in years it snowed this much here. It worked great. I agree it doesn't affect the flight that much relative to throwing in the snow anyway. Definitely worth doing in powdery snow. We lost about one disc a day when the snowstorm first hit, but once we had the ribbon tech we never lost another one.

I had the sweetest star valk that was a swirl blend of pale yellow and orange. It looked kind of like a creamsicle. I threw it in a crick this past summer and never could find it. Disappointing a little.

That run of Champ Beast is SICK! When I first started playing 2k5, Those were the only Beasts I would throw! They are the old mold and by far the best run.

This beast feels almost exactly like CE and is super grippy. I wish I threw the old molds but this is the only one that I have and dont feel like getting used to a disc that will be hard to replace if I loose it. I might end up puting it up on ebay but i might end up keeping it in a safe spot for later when they are even harder to find.

Looking at that disc again, it's the same plastic the old molds were in, but it's a new mold beast since it's a 2x beast. The 1x beasts were the best!
But that plastic is the perfect grippy, flexible and most consistent.
