Meh, some good some bad. However, one really cool note about the tourney. On my very first throw as a "Pro" for the tourney I slammed the chains for an almost ace, the disc tried to stay in but fell out of the pan . So that was really cool. I ended up finishing in a tie for 9th outta 16. Im a lil bummed because I can think of 6 specific time where i missed gimme birds and a few other mistakes that I think cost me a stroke or two (which would have put me down into a better finish). Overall though I am happy with my playing and especially for my very first Open tourney I cant complain.

I am now in LOOOOOVE with Moody's course. That was the best disc golf time of my life up to date. Definitely a place I will go to every possible chance I get.

i was at the top of a big tie for 4th, after the 1st round and again after the 2nd. i blew up on Sunday morning, and was 1 spot out of the finals. in the end i think my legs were shot and i wasn't getting any power from them, and consequently i had weak drives and putts. it's all sand out there, it really takes it out of you. sucks because last time i played Moody's, i came back from near-last to 3rd on that backwards course (from Sunday morning).

round scores were 52, 61, 65. 4 birds each in first 2 rounds, NONE in 3rd. i'll be interested to see the rating for rd 1, that was by far my best round out at Moody's.

i was also playing my first round ever with my new rig
it was all base plastic, except for a Ch. TB and a Q-Sent.

i've been going to worn DX for my drivers, and i really like it. all slow stuff too. i had 1 distance driver, a worn-straight MOLF. everything else was TB/EX or slower. i think it's awesome that i could hang as well as i did, throwing slower drivers than almost everyone (except Grayson's Cyclone )

yeah moody's was an awesome expirience.. I love playing on private courses, and this one was very well designed. There are so many holes out there that test your skills on specific shots, and surprisingly, the backwards course is even more well designed in my opinion. I hope to make it back sometime, maybe for the Rocktober fest...

It was cool to meet Zam and Disc Junkie too... I got to play with Zam in round 1, and he was lighting it up. I started slow, but had a good second round. I was playing very well in the third round on the backwards course. With 15 holes to go (6 in round 3 and then final 9) I was actually only one shot out of first place (I was on the top card), and was feeling pretty good about my chances. Then we got to those long last six holes of the backwards course and I got an 8 on hole 13! It's a true par 4 at least, and I was putting for 5 from about 20 feet away, and my put hit the side of the basket, rolled down a hill, i threw my next put up and it hit basket and rolled down the other side of the hill. i missed the next putt and took my snowman After that, my fatigue kicked in and I picked up a lot of strokes, and finished tied for 8th.

Not a lot of peeps around the DFW area I guess haha. I'll be out at Mesquite this Sunday, and probably Saturday doubles. Apparently some months ago they got 50 teams... and I've had more fun in doubles than a just about any tourney round lol.

I played like Crap on Sunday and took a 5 on hole 15 green which is 120ft but besides that I had a great time.

I'm not going to the Huk but will be in H-town for the WLS series final.

Put skipped off the top for a 2 and rolled OB. Me being stupid I went to the water and played it instead of reputting my 30fter.

oh, that'll do it. seems like the water was farther than 30' away though

i deuced that basket twice on the normal layout, red and white, and 3'd it on green. shitty putt. all 3 drives were in the perfect spot too... slid a Gazelle and a Roc right along the ridge, and laid a putter up there from green.
