Oh, you meant shoes. I thought you meant crazy trail runners as in: crazy people who run on trails. When I lived in Austin I was biking the Greenbelt one day and a guy went jogging by the other way wearing nothing but shoes. It was a disturbing image. It also looked uncomfortable. Seemed like a bad idea in every possible way.

They just had some Salamon trail hikers on, that looked pretty nice. By the time I saw them and came here, they were off...sometimes items come back up in the same day though. I've got 4 decent pair of trail runners that I'm TRYING to alternate wearing, so I held off. Why is it that you have a pair that you just LOVE, and you end up wearing them way more often? Even when you buy multiples of the same shoe.

I ordered a pair of those Salomon Elios XCRs. We'll see how they work out.

I go the other direction and wear one pair till they are done, then go on to the next one. Anything that stays waterproof for 4 months or more of constant use, and doesn't blow out in the soles or uppers in that time, gets my consideration for future shoe purchases. I'm also pretty stingy about paying anything much more than steep and cheap pricing since I go through DG shoes quickly.
