I was going to tell you North Face then I clicked your link

I have North face and they have been great. Out of all the shoes I tried on they were the most comfy so I wouldn't be much help.

Yeah, with North Face these days, you're paying more for the name than for quality. I've had good luck with Salomons, Lowas, and Montrails. A lot of people like Vasque and Merrell too, but I haven't had any of those so can't comment on their quality first-hand.

North Face are the comfy-est trail shoes I've ever owned... but they died the fastest. Started coming apart on like the 3rd or 4th round, and only really lasted a few months. Worthless. Fortunately I found them at a huge discount, so it's not a big loss, but I'd never buy a pair at anywhere close to retail. For <$40, they are a decent value. For more than that, you may regret your purchase, unless you get them somewhere like REI where they handle replacements of shoes that go defective too fast.

you need more of a boot and less of a trail runner, every trail runner ive ever owned gets destroyed by DG in a few weeks at best, Salomons,Montrails or merrels hold up best for me

id go option # 2 as the treads on those TRAIL RUNNING Salomons tend to fall apart within a week for me, ive gone through 3 pairs of those hoping that i just got defective ones but NO, they are just shittily made. the actual HIKING Salomons are a different story though, super durable!

I got my North Face from steepandcheap for 50 bucks. I have had them over 6 months and still no issues.

I have had 2 pairs of merrels and one pair of solomons and both of the merrels the bottom fell off within a month and I have had the solomons for like 6 months now and they still are looking pretty good. I even wore them during the winter(in Wisconsin) as they had gortex and my feet stayed dry the whole winter. They just seem like a better put together shoe.

get these, they are excellent!
Those look good.

I've had better luck with Hedgehog XCRs from TNF line than their other shoes. I'm currently on a pair of Montrail trail runners. They are holding up great. Golfed in them since December and they are still waterproof. Great comfortable midsole. They are also the best looking shoe I have had for golfing. The caveat is the tread pattern on the sole. The lugs are not self cleaning and they collect mud like crazy. So annoying. If I could get these shoes with a better tread pattern they would be incomparable winter golf shoes. Alas.

They are not waterproof. You would have to wear a seal skin sock or something. Otherwise the shoe is great.
