Upcoming Texas Tourneys

Headin down to San Antonio for the weekend and a tourney as well. I'll be out at Brian McClain park Friday if anyone wants to show me the birdie lines lol. Saturday I'll be at the San Antonio bud open.

you guys should make it down to Nacogdoches for the Pecan Park Open, May 30-31st.
I'll be co-TD for the event, and if you mention DGR, i'll be sure to hook you up with some free water It's a B-Tier event, 4 rounds, 2 courses (pecan and pioneer parks), we have free water donated from a local water shop to combat the coming summer heat, and $1000 added to the pro-purse. we'll also do a skins round after round 4 for the top 4 scorers. The skins format will be alternate shot doubles, the top 4 scores from the tourney will be paired up with 4 raffle ticket winners for a shot at about $50 bucks a hole minimum (6 hole safari course layout @ Pecan Park).

Its too bad there aren't really any tourneys around here in the next two weeks, but that weekend there's a 2 day event in Mckinney as well as the pecan park open... I'd rather head out of town but I don't think I will have anyone to carpool with, so I'll be stickin around the DFW for this one unfortunately.

yeah, I know about McKinney, and there's a C-tier near austin, and a non-PDGa southern nationals tourney in Shreveport that weekend.

Normally, the Pecan Park Open is in mid April, but with so many of the Texas Championship tournies (women's, tx states, lone star ams, world dubs) all colliding in April, the state coordinator Gary Duke asked if we would move the event to a later date this year.

Is the McKinney tourney even sanctioned?? I saw it on titledisc and lsdga, but not on pdga.

They're probably slacking off sending things into the pdga I would imagine. Its a first time tourney poppin up outta nowhere on some newish courses so I'm not sure who all is putting it together. I blame them for this heh.

Which of you Austin guys is playing the “Battle of Slaughter Creek”? I'm thinking about making the drive down there if I can find a place to crash (and get permission from the ol lady ). Circle C was always one of my favorites in the area, and seems like it would be a great tourney course...

Players Meeting at 8:30 a.m., Tee Off at 9 a.m.
