Eagle (Star, Champ, DX) - Control and finesse

Midrange (up to 350')
Roc (CE, DX) - Midrange drives and approaches

Putt and Approach (up to 300')

Toss in a champ or star leopard if you want something that will turn through a hyzer, but still be controllable and not overly flippy.

Only problem is that my Champ Leopard never comes back...it holds that turnover too well, and that's what I'm using my Meteors for right now. I've seen some beat Teebirds and they can still pull out of a turnover, and that's more of what I'm looking for.

In that case, give the Eagle a chance.

I'd like to throw just Aviars, but the Wizard is just a little flatter and not quite as deep, and it makes a big difference the feel of my putts. Are there any beaded Aviars that are firm and not quite as deep as my 11x Champion?

Beat in a JK Aviar for less stable upshots. (Or get an SS Wiz and play a few one disc rounds with it.)

As far as firm and less-deep aviars ... no they don't exist. The JK is less deep than any other I've seen (but that's only because they can mold w/ flat tops). But it's not firm enough for a pitch putt. That's why I've switched to Wizards. For drives, it gives me a better fan grip and Climo grip because I have short fingers. For putts, I find the M Wizards are even stiffer than the KCs, with a lot less dome. So the release is cleaner for me.

Added Leopard, removed KC Pro Teebird. Still looking for an effortless (low power), straight to slightly HS understable FW driver. For some reason I tend to get the Leopard nose up, I don't know what my problem is.

DX Gazelle (a little beat)
Pro D or maybe Elite X Cyclone (haven't tried the ESP yet)
XL
JLS
Eagle L
Leo

IMO the Leopard is what you want; fix your form  !
Try the JLS or XL if the Leo doesn't float your boat. They are similar to/different than the Leo.

I'd throw in an X Buzzz. They glide better and are longer.

Try a broken in gazelle or polaris ls.
This is unbelievable disc that acts like space ship. -lovetodg-

I really like my beat Gazelle for this slot more and more. I've found a few different routes lately because of the confidence I have in the disc and how it will fly. A BEAT Star TL will also fill this role nicely.

I may replace my seasoned Z Buzzz with an X Buzzz when it goes from seasoned to beat, I'm hearing good things about the X Buzzz.

I've done a fair amout of field testing with both. The X always goes a bit further, especially with a tailwind.

KC Pro Aviars have a bead, right? Anybody got any they're looking to get rid of?

Agreed. A JLS will fit here too for the lower HSS fairway slot. For fairway I've been using QJLS and *EX. The QJs get the most use right now and the seasoned ones will predictably turn on you. I've always found that the JLS has more fade at the end than a PLS, but that the PLS turns more initially.

I thought the PLS had the same amount of turn and less fade than the JLS. :?:
