I liked the idea of this. Mines not all fancy and edited together.

Fall 08

Vid 1 was on a hole about 380-390 and it was within 5-10 ft of the basket. Vids 2-4 were right around 400ft. Vid 5 Hit the trees about 400-410 away as it was coming out of its turn. I'd guess it would have been 460ish.

Any critiques?

Damn, looks like you pull the disc up to your chin!

I made tweeks to my pull and tried different run ups and also my priming.

I remember them feeling a lot different in the throw. I guess I didn't change as much as it felt like.

Well, anything any you guys see I could do?

I have timing issues. I also never figured out the back dip, to a pull at almost my chin and if that effects anything. I really don't know. I'm not good at this really.

Too much emphasis on the motion up to the right pec.
Too little emphasis after the right pec position.

If you want to start to improve you need to get rid of some of the "noise". You have lot of extra motion, loops, and hitches going into the throw.

For a training exercise, I would suggest starting your throw with the disc firmly planted in your left pec. Then pull the disc into your your right pec and throw through the forward apex.

In otehr words, the disc goes in a straight line from the left pec, across the chest, through the right pec position, and down the arm. Keep you hand on the other side of the disc away from yourself as long as possible.

Remember:

disc from the right pec to the target= straight line right at the target
Hand on the other side of the disc
Disc down the arm from the right pec
throw the disc down the line with the hand on the other side of the disc
