Yes, the finals will be on Saturday, August 1st at Blue Valley. The Semis will be in the morning (pros will be playing a stretched out Rosedale).

Let me get this straight...Aside from the touring pro (scoot_er) and the midwest pros (MDR and smitty), no one is coming to worlds this year? No Ams are coming here?

I'm an AM who is headed out there this year, I'll be there on the 23rd in order to get a shot at each of the courses before it starts. I'm registered and have my plane ticket, but I'm still hunting around for a hotel/rental car. Is there anyone else in the same boat? Who's planning on going, but hasn't nailed down their lodging arrangements? Anyone who might be interested in splitting some costs?

They did have a great deal for the host hotel at the Crown Center at $69 a night (it's normally in the $250 range) on hotwire.com, but I couldn't find it this weekend. Hopefully I'll see what I can digg up and post here.

As of right now the only way I am going is if I win a B-tier this weekend. Our State Coordinator just informed me I have the TX Rep spot for USDGC and I will have to pay by Aug 2 so that would mean spending $500+ in entries and a weeks travel all at the same time and I just don't have that kind of Bank on hand.
