1. The Tradition of the Gay Earring
For centuries, gays and lesbians have used physical coding to signal to potential partners their sexual orientation. From the late sixties until the early eighties, a trend developed which allowed gay men to openly display their sexuality to those in the know. Gay men could signal each other by wearing a gay earring, usually in their right ear. The side which the earring was on varied from community to community, allowing for some confusion as the trend became more popular.
While the gay community did not invent piercings as ornaments, gay men were the first people to have ear piercings in western culture, and the gay community led the way for piercing as part of sexual play.
Stars sporting a gay earring now and then include Elton John and George Michael. Since piercing became more popular in mainstream culture, the signal of the gay earring has gone slightly out of style but is still known in gay communities.

That was the funniest thing in this thread.
Frank Delicious wrote:with all this talk of homosexuality I have decided to administer a homo-sex test. The test is quite simple, what I need you to do is think if you read all this first or looked down at the gif below first. If you read this, you like dudes which is completely OK because gay dudes can be really cool and you can let them hang with your girlfriend and not worry about them hitting on her or nothing. If you looked at the gif first you probably like chicks but could be gay because many closet homosexuals have problems accepting their sexuality.
