I'm a 24 year old Excel / Access jockey working for a large hospital. Could be better, could be worse.

Job: Environmental consultant
What I do: Majority is focused on lakes dealing with invasive species & writing lake/plant management plans & treatments. Also do wetland delineating / reporting and some work in the contamination field (think old gas stations).

Yes, I love my job. The pay kinda sucks, but I get to go all over the state (WI) for work, work outside 80% of the time (mainly from a boat), plus for wetlands I get paid to wander around through the woods (if it's wooded), ticks suck though.

I'm a software engineer for a Fortune 100 medical software company. I started working here 2 years ago. Like most engineering jobs, there are good days, and there are bad days. We'll see where my future is going to take me after my annual review next month.

IT/DBA/general computer bitch for an insurance company. I like my job because working for a small company is nice and some of the IT stuff I do is really fun but some of it is really boring. I am probably going to try to get a new job soon that is more Web Design/ Web App oriented because that is what I enjoy the most.

I am all about the data I work with datasets in the 100's of TB's on a daily basis...get to work with some really powerful computers too.

I've thought about going to work for a medical research company here in town quite a few times. My masters is in Computer Science specializing in Optimization and Heuristic Search methods.
