I feel the same way, but in reverse order. And haven't been able to get into the newer stuff. So yeah, pretty much I like De-loused and Frances. Maybe I should give the other albums another try. To me, it sounded like they were trying to get more experimental, but in reality, just got sloppy.

Recently I got turned onto a band "Timber Timbre". I need to listen to it more, but so far I like it. Sort of Leonard Cohen meets DeVotchKa meets Jeff Buckley.

Frances is good, but the latter part of the album kind of drags on. I don't have Amputecture, and just got De-Loused, but haven't listened to it yet.

The first half of Bedlam is just so intense. Metatron may be one of the best tracks I've ever heard.

I have Octahedron too. They're albums are so dense, that it takes a good month of listening to one just to get a handle on what's actually going on.

They're drummer, Thomas Pridgen, is a freak of nature. As blown away as I was by Omar's guitar playing, Thomas really was the thing about their live show that got me.

You can't hippie dance to TMV; there's way too many time signature changes.

Listening to A Day To Remember's new CD "Homesick"... it's a little bit metal, a little bit punk. Great CD.

I just got my hands on

Passion Pit - Manners

Huge 80's Big Beat synth with a live drummer. They're playing in KC tonight, but I'm driving to Arkansas for a wedding :(. These guys sound like they'd be a riot to see live.

Hot Water Music (earlier stuff)

And DG Dave, Pavement rules.

Do any of you guys use Pandora Radio?
I find it to be pretty sweet cause I don't have a mp3 player.
