After all the discussion lately of line shaping I've decided to go one step further in the minimalist direction. I've taken out my fresh Meteor, fresh Stalker, and my Star Boss due to overlap that I as the thrower should be compensating for. 11 discs: 7 versatile molds, 2 utility molds, and doubles of my 3 primary discs (Voodoo, Buzzz, Orc). Now their under control...Now they do what I tell them.

The Wasp is useless to me. I've carried one and the Buzzz does everything better for me. The Buzzz does not fly well on turnover shots though, and that's where the Meteor shines. The Meteor is the best mid to come out since the Buzzz, and since the Buzzz is in a way derived from the Roc, the Meteor is the best original mid to come out since the Roc imo. Everyone used to throw Cyclones, so its funny to me that now the only people throwing them are people that never tried them before. There's a lot of better discs out there imo, including the Stalker, that can work well in calm and wind. The Cyclone is not good in the wind and takes too much height to work.

I just took the wasp out of my bag after the one time I reached for it depending on a fade and it went damn straight without any fade. There was some headwind, but I've found that I can cover most of those shots now with a fairway driver or the buzz.

Exactly. If its too windy for the Buzzz, its too windy for the Wasp, and its time to beef up to something more aerodynamic altogether. Wind affects the Wasp's range and line, where it only really affects the Buzzz's line. Throwing the Buzzz hyzer with the nose down it is pretty easy to predict and control in moderate wind. This is a skill that does not come easily or early to many golfers, so we see thread after thread about overstable mids. I don't think its too wise to throw ANY mid perfectly flat into a moderate headwind (even the overstable ones will fail at some point, and wind is often gusty and difficult to predict). Like the Wasp, beaded or really blunt nosed mids will have their range significantly affected by wind even if they hold the line.

Most of these molds have been in my bag for 100+ rounds now...that's got to be a record for me. The exceptions being the Stalker/EX which I've thrown enough to be pretty comfy with at this point. This is my tightest setup to date and depends on me to control flights with my release angles while still providing me with a variety of speeds/stabilities to execute any shot across all but the most extreme wind conditions. If it were really blowing I'd probably add another Boss or two and a Star Max.

I'm probably going to work some of those D drivers out this week. With the addition of the Force, my Monarch getting uber flippy, and the return of my fav. Orc I've got some decisions to make.
