Yeah, KoTOR 2's ending left something to be desired for sure. Still a really great game though; if you want a fun variation on it try being a guns-only Jedi, there's a good guide about it somewhere on the internet that I used. You can do some ridiculous damage later in the game doing that.

 i just skimmed the original post.
Oblivion is awesome if you have yet to delve into it.
N3 ninety nine nights is actually super fun and is only like $10 now.
Rockstar Table tennis is fun if you have any friends.
get some live arcade games, they are cheap. shadow complex or Trials HD are both super solid games with hours and hours of content for a small price

Same time any Blizzard game comes out: When it's completely done and of top quality!

You guys would dig Torchlight, made by the creators of Diablo and Fate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhrNZZf-dOk
apparently you get a pet that'll accompany you throughout the game, haul and even sell your loot for you.

$20 bucks on steam.

Machinarium is still tits, tho.
I would like your X-Wasps, please.

 Or FPSes for the most part. Or games that my aging computer can't run well.

S'all good though, I like talking about good video games in general. Especially ones that might be a little old but still hold up. I've got Oblivion and Fallout 3 hanging around, and part of me really wants to play one of those, but man, I just don't know if I'm ready to get THAT immersed in a game right now. Also got Civ 4 on sale recently, but same thing. I've never played any of the Civ games before, but I've heard stories of how people who don't even like video games find themselves hopelessly addicted to them.

Assassins creed is a good cheap game that doesn't require you to get way into it.

You could also try Fables 2.

hahaha, yes, and yes. I have both, enjoyed both, and beat both. I'm starting to feel like I may not be as casual a gamer as I thought. Definitely looking forward to Assassin's Creed 2. Fable 2, btw, I think has to have the most ridiculously easy final boss fight in the history of video games.

I may go ahead and play one of these ultra-immersive games I have sitting around. If so, well, it's been a pleasure knowing you guys, and hope to see you next year sometime.

I too have an interest in this thread as I will be moving to a location with access to high speed internet. At that time, I will swoop my xbox back from my buddy (he's been taking care of it while I had no internets). I'm looking forward to re-upping on xbox live and playing with some of you fellas.

Couple questions:
Does anyone still play Halo 2 online?
Has anyone played ODST?
My nephew tells me nazi zombies is cool, any truth to his statement?
How sweet is Modern Warfare 2 going to be?
How badly do I need to get orange box?

It does indeed look badass. Only thing is, besides my reluctance to pay full price on a game, the PC gamer in me doesn't want to buy an RPG on a console if it can also be had on a PC, and I'm not sure how great it'd work on my machine. I think I meet the minimum specs, but definitely not the recommended. :?

For FPS if you have never played HL2 your missing out. I played it when I bought the Orange Box and regret not playing it sooner. Absolutely amazing story and gameplay. No accident that it's considered one of the greatest PC games of all time.

As far as point and click RPG goes you should check out Torchlight. The only reason I haven't bought it is because I just picked up Borderlands but I will be getting Torchlight as soon as I get through the story in Borderlands (another excellent game BTW). Torchlight is only 20 bucks on Steam with very low system requirements. You can download a demo that will let you play through the first couple quests. Review for the game.

Can't answer all your questions, but from what I've heard ODST isn't really worth it...basically a glorified expansion pack at a full game price. The Orange Box for 360 can be had for $16 here, which is pretty much a no brainer price.

Anybody played Mount & Blade? I got it on sale a while back after hearing good things about it, decided to boot it up last night. I only played through the tutorial but it seemed kind of lame. Apparently it's got lots of cool mods, but they can only do so much if the core gameplay is weak, ya know?

So badly you should be itching your skin off anxious to play Portal.

Seriously, that game alone is worth twice the original retail price of the whole orange box.
I threw Wizards before they were cool.
