Going to http://www.thebrewerscoop.com/ on Saturday after some disc golf to get a carboy, drinking at the Two Brothers brew pub afterwards, and brewing either a double batch of I'm-not-sure-yet or two separate I'm-not-sure-yets next week with a friend. Maybe a smoked something or other. Any suggestions? I've recently made a copper and an IPA so something besides those.

Has anyone made a hard cider? I thought hard cider would be a good place to get my feet wet before brewing my wheat ale. I've got two batches going right now. I ended up not realizing I needed to put some liquid in the airlock so thats why I have the second batch started.

Just tried some of my Amber Ale I brewed and it turned out pretty good. I am planning on brewing a Scottish Ale this weekend. Woo hoo!

I heard cider is not to difficult. But I think a wheat ale would be fairly easy as well. About the water in the airlock, your brew should be fine.

Not sure how I missed this thread... I am converting a fridge tomorrow to be a dual tap kegorator for my homebrew, and I am brewing a batch for a feb icebowl on thursday.

I'll have to spend a few minutes reading through this thread, but I know I've chatted with Spitfire on the HBT forums already.

I've got a Three-Hearted IPA that I'll be starting this weekend. Northern Brewer is also where I get all my supplies and info- great site.

Brewed a scottish ale yesterday. Put it in my 6.5 gallon carboy last night at 6pm and woke this morning to find a nice 1 inch Krausen with lots of action. The wort tasted great. Now I just need to wait!

So after sometime off from brewing I am back at it!

So my brew weekend looks a little like this
Thursday night- Brewed a gallon of Sweet Hard Ice Tea for my wife and those hot summer days
Tonight I will be making 5 gallons of a cider/beer called Graff
Saturday/Sunday I will be brewing beer
5 gallon brew of a Dogfish Head 60 minute clone
5 gallon brew of Honey Orange Wheat

Both brews with be Partial Mash brews.

I look forward to having gallons of beer in the brew closet again!

lol - I love that feeling.

I have 5 gallons of best bitter planned for sunday - I have not been to my LHBS shop yet, but all I have to pick up is the base malt. I've got the specialty grains at home, and a buddy is hooking me up with some hops. Oh, and yeast - but I am going to use S-04 on this one, and that stuff is cheap. I expect the total for this one to be around $15

The kegerator is pretty much done - I still need a drip tray, and I want to build a base for the bottom. I can work around both for now though. Here is a pic:

Great work man! Looks a lot like mine but I have yet to drill the holes. I just have a tower setup inside the fridge until I get some shanks. I will be using S-04 this weekend as well along with some Nottingham and S-05

I came across some family heirlooms type ones I am going to roll with for awhile though. If I add a 3rd tap, I know who to call!

Just popped my cherry last Saturday with an Imperial Pale Ale form extract. Getting ready to move from primary to secondary today or tomorrow. The extract kits make it easy to start off, but I cant wait to try some partial mashes. My kegerator is waiting patiently, currently setup for one tap, but I have room for 4 considering my tank sits outside.
