This thing feels a lot like my Voodoo's in my hand which is great because I love the way they fit for me. But I'm 50/50 on my throws with it so far. I had a couple upshots hook off right on me today, maybe due to the flashing, more likely just a poor release. Then I drove with it on a 330' hole that has a elevation drop of about 40'. The ION went dead nuts straight with no fade for over 400'! :o 40' is a lot of elevation, but man did that thing fly straight and seems to have a ton of glide.

My voodoo's aren't going anywhere but I'll be keeping the ION around a bit longer to play with. Really like the way it looks.

I assume that was Hole 10 at P96
I would have thought the flashing would have added stability causing a left fade rather than vice versa (like a bead)

my Ion arrived today and I will be doing some putting with it tonight
I won't be able to do any actual course work with it until this weekend

first impression is that it does have a similar look to a Voodoo

I do like the look and feel of the flight plate
although I have yet to throw it into the chains given that this is a dual material disc I'd perhaps like to see the external band be tackier/grippier perhaps a bit more rubberized

after I've thrown it tonight I will post further comments

#4 actually. I'm not positive on the elevation, maybe it's more?

I hit metal on 10 though with my Drone. Good thing too cause it's white and I didn't have a ribbon on it so at least I knew about where it was.

that pic reminds of a simon says game. They're all so pretty, minus the sand colored one. Are all the colors the same flexibility?

Yep yep tried out a few more colors all with a tacky and grippy black overmold. Those peach ones were supposed to be a little closer to a light orange but turned out to be more like a light creamy peach. So far, our first runs and all of these colors of this second run are all the exact same flexibility. We are getting in more material, this of which is going to be slightly more rigid.

We finished up with our second run!! The first portion of the run we were running them at weights around 171-173 as stated, and the last portion we were running 174-175! We now have max weight IONs!

I do not know the exact amount or which colors yet, but I believe that we got the max weights in all of the colors.

Up next on our agenda is to run some IONs in the same plastic, but in our Medium Proton cores to compliment our first and second run IONs in our Soft Proton plastic. These we are hoping will be a little more rigid for those who want a slightly stiffer putter. These of course will have the same tacky Electron overmold. I do not know the time frame yet for the Mediums.

I just got a blue 172g ion in a player's pack (thanks GGGT!)

It's a sweet feeling disc - I'm a bit too attached to my wizards to swap them out but when this comes out in a firmer plastic I may have to rethink the wiz...

nice job guys!

The second run IONs are available at Gotta Go Gotta Throw and Disc Golf World. More retails should have them available soon.
