dont listen to him, he lies

He doesn't lie, he just throws farther than most people.

So I picked up an x cyclone out of the used bin that is pretty much mint. I'm finding it less forgiving than my lighter star leopard. I chose the x cause it was $5 and I wanted to get a taste of the cyclone before investing too much. This disc was showing my just how sloppy my form truly is. Discouraging and enlightening at the same time. I am taking my leopard out and just throwing the cyclone until I learn it, it schools me, or I become a better player from throwing it.

What I learned right off the bat.
I try to over power discs.
I have OAT issues, See above.
I can say f9ck really loudly.

Would it be worth while to get a nice domey esp cyclone to compare and maybe fill a more stable slot?

YES, get an ESP. They are much different than the X (in a good way)

Just wait for Latitudes next fairway driver. It'll be superior because of plastic alone... 8)

Good deal. ESP will be the next disc I purchase unless someone has a nice lime green one they want to get rid of.

Currently in the bag:

Xcaliber - I'm enjoying the extra length over my firebirds
1.1 QOLF x2
1.1 SOLF

1st run Stalker - so freakin straight
ESP Cyclone - will it be a good S shot fwdriver?
X Cyclone - overlaps w/ my stalker
Dx Whippet - nothing does what it does better than it does it

2 Ranchos - 1 thrower, 1 beginning it's cycle
2 San Marinos 1 172 fresh, 1 180 slightly beat, lot's of overlap there.

Ridge - stable approach
Grip Pure - beat, effortless turn
Zero Pure - into the chains

stick with the cyclone for awhile. I started working on my backhand last summer with a gazelle. When I started I couldn't throw it much farther than my rocs. It helped me learn much better form, and I can throw all of my discs better now.

also, I love ontario rocs. Never tried a sannie, so I don't know if it'll be much different for you. But might be worth a look.

Re: Current Set Up

I've kept the core of my bag the same for a while now and I'm very happy with what I have working for me.
275ft putters, 300ft rocs, 330ft drivers, and I'm pushing that out, working on my form.

C-PD - Headwinds, overstable slot
2-1.1 QOLF - Hyzer, Flip flat
1.1 SOLF - Turnover
1.1 QOLS - Experimenting - initial impressions are blahh (168grams)

Q-Polaris ls - hyzers, straight
ESP Cyclone - straight, turnovers
Dx Whippet - Utility, thumbers

180 Roc - flat very stable
2-180 SM Rocs - seasoned, seasoning

11x KC Champ Aviar - when it must go lefta
Grip Pure- approach, driving
Zero Pure

Stalker Out, Q-PLS in. UPGRADE!!!!

QOLS is nothing special to me. At my power level, it turns consistently, but not anymore than my beat SOLF or QOLF. It has more glide for sure, but just seems like a tweener disc to me. Good at some stuff but not great at anything, at least for my style and power. The stamp is awesome, the flight is forgettable.

Well, things have changed a little in the last month or so.

C-PD - Headwinds, overstable slot
2-1.1 QOLF - Hyzer, Flip flat
1.1 QOLS - Awesome long annys, initial impressions were WRONG!!!! Great disc

Q-Polaris ls - hyzers, straight
2x ESP Cyclones - 1 newer/ 1 getting beat in
Dx Whippet - Utility, thumbers

180 Roc - flat stable
180 SM Roc - Still hss, minor lss
176 KC Roc - Beat (thanks Booter)
Opto Fuse - low ceiling shots that need glide to get there.

Grip Pure - finesse drives
Vibram Firm Ridges - Putting/Driving
-I'm about to add a medium for putting

If Latitude 64 would make a firmer putter that didn't warp on contact, I'd still putt with pures, but they are just too freaking soft. Great in the winter, but now that it's in the 90's, they turn into gummy putters that warp too easily.
