Do you use the 168 roc in place of a putter on some short approaches? Or what is its purpose?

Standstill approaches pretty much. Where I want to throw a putter because of the distance, but I have to throw it too low or too hard to get it there. The shots I used it for this weekend were when I had a standstill lie with a really low ceiling where I could crack my hand into a tree to the right. It's retarded how easy it it to get this thing to glide 150'.

After looking at the bag I posted at the beginning of the year, very little has changed. I quit throwing Sabres, but that had more to do with the fact that I couldn't get any of the straight Sabres anymore (which has been reconciled). The Blaze got replaced by the Banshee, which is a little easier for me to throw. The CD worked its way out once I got a beat PD in it's place. I have an ESP Cyclone that will make it into the bag when it's really windy, and that's been in and out since it got released.

I have a Pro Boss and some StarTanas that are in and out of the bag for distance. Next year I'll be making up my mind about which of those I'm going to throw (or the new D driver from Gateway). I also have a Spirit that will probably make it's final exit in lieu of the XXX or Force or something like that as well.

This is the first year the core of my bag has changed very little, and I find myself very comfortable with the shots I like to shoot. Even on off days, I don't really spray it all over the course, and I think that's testament to keeping the same discs in your bag for 200+ rounds.

how does the polecat compare to the rattler?

I don't really know; I haven't throw it much. It feels a lot less finesse like - sort of like the difference between the Roc and the Comet. I think I'm going to mess around with the Rattler more in the springtime. The whole reason I put the Rattler in my bag was after seeing it in yours. It takes way too long to beat up wizards, and after losing my 5 year-old last year, I knew I needed some sort of finesse disc.

I played for the 1st time in about a month, and got to throw the Katana on quite a few long holes this morning. Man, this thing goes so far when thrown 80%. I don't know which super speedy disc will end up in my bag at the end of the year, but I know my days of having the PD as the fastest thing in my bag are over. However, I am very glad I chose do to it last year; the exclusive use of the PD for a year has made my understanding of how to hit a disc into a particular line.

I think the XXX is going into my bag sometime too. I really want a very, very overstable disc in my bag. the S PD is nice, but if i throw it straight and hard, it's going to fly like that then fade.

You should really try the Opto Halo. For me it has the same style of flight as the other discs I throw, just taken to the next level of speed.

I probably will once it warms up enough for me to get some realistic practice in. The Halo sounds like it would fit my game better , but I'm really enjoying the extra distance from having a disc as fast as the Katana in my bag.

How much turn and fade does it have? I think I saw you compare it to a Destroyer in terms of flight more than the Boss.

I posted somewhere that I would rate it Speed 14, glide 5, HSS -.5, LSS 3. The high speed turn is like that of a seasoned PD...It doesn't take it off it's flight path like a Destroyer or Boss's high speed turn, it just keeps it going flat. It is as fast as a Katana as well--I'm throwing it just as far and I can throw it harder.

It's going to be nice enough to play golf with my full bag for the first time this winter this weekend. Hopefully. I'm going to try without the Cyclones, since the main event I'm getting ready for is the Kan-U-WyCo at Wyandotte County Park in the KC area. WyCo isn't short by any means. I think I'm going to get some of those new top CDs, hoping that they'll behave like a slightly slower, more stable Sidewinder.
