Why isn't this illegal? video of Climo drive

I though you had to be on the teepad for the release?

There was a flypad off to the side. Could this be a case of them not wanting to play from the flypad. So they moved it and just played off the grass. The tee doesn't change just the footing on the tee.

it'd be my guess that it was a wide tee and they could use the flypad or not, their choice. A couple of them did that, so I can't imagine that something so blatant wouldn't be called if it was a violation.

I heard during the broadcast that they had the option of using the flypad or the space next to it on #1. I bet it was the same here too.

Dude, the Champ footfaults by like 6 feet and no one calls him on it.

Damn top pros using their intimidation factor to cheat!

In the heat, those flypads can become quite sticky. It's a great way to wrench a knee or ankle so the players were given the option of throwing off the grass next to each teepad.

As a dues-paying member of the PDGA I am outraged. It is respect for the rules that will propel our humble sport into the glowing emerald legitimacy of the proverbial limelight. I for one am appalled that our Champ would just spit on the rules and therefore every aspiring Champ out there. He's saying, The PDGA Ain't Nothin, p-toui. And these "officials" just stand idly by and let the Pros run the show however they see fit. Well I'm not that kind of sleezeball, PDGA, and I am outraged. Outrageous!! Consider this an expressment of my outrage.

yeah i heard that factoid during the broadcast, and every time we replayed the video i'd be like "nooooo Champ you're doin it wrong!!" and cause panic
