I found these portable MP3 portable speakers and thought it would be great on a disc golf bag. I just got it today and got to play one round with it and it worked great! Its loud enough that you and some friends close by can here, but not too loud to talk over or to be annoying to other groups. Its rather cheap as well. Since I've only had one round with it I don't have any durability on it, but looks pretty good.

A dude i was playin with over this past weekend had the same thing. Its pretty small but it can make a lot of noise and it sounds pretty good too. He had it clipped to the outside of his bag, seemed pretty durable.

You can find them cheap (<$10) at CVS, Walgreens or Big Lots as well.

I've always liked the idea of being able to listen to music while playing. The problem is so do other people. So I end up playing through or around groups listening to crap like kanye, nickelback, or some other crap.
so hooray music.... booooo bad music

FAAAAAAAAR from the worst ever, way way way off. I don't much like their music either but I do like Chad Kroeger's voice a lot. Wish he'd do something constructive with it.

I really do like every other band ever, better than nickelback.
But derail aside, I have those battery powered speakers. Tons of treble makes them really loud at maximum, but running them on the max volume is a surefire way to blow the speakers within a few weeks. I think setting the max volume higher than the speakers can handle is how the company makes their money.
The other non battery powered speakers were convenient, I even got a headphone splitter and had 2 pair going sometimes.

You have listened to every band in the world? In all seriousness though, Nickelback is god awful.

I am possibly in the market for a speaker/speakers for my bag. What are the best ones out there in terms of quality / value?

I am wondering is something like a Jambox would work well on the course?

it's comical how people hate nickelback because it's so hated by "rock critics"...they're a decent band. Nothing special, but not especially bad either. Don't join the hating bandwagon just because everyone else does, listen what you like and fuck all who mind. LIVE YOUR LIVES WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD ULULULULULU!

It's just become cool to hate Nickelback. It's laughable that people deride it using terms like "derivative", "sticking to formula instead of innovating" and "repetitive", like that doesn't describe 99.99% of the music in the world already. Hate Nickelback all you want but be honest why you hate it: You hate it because everyone else hates it.
