David Bowie -- space dye

Postby BennettUA » Mon Mar 29, 2010 9:02 am

Finished this weekend, took a few weeks here and there when I had time.
Disc is a Pro Katana.
This disc is NOT for sale, but I will gladly dye it again if someone loves the space rocker as well. (This one is for my bassist.)

I masked the "stars" with a paint marker. I tried the technique on my test disc -- never did I think it would mask so well. Kinda turned out a little polka-dot-ish, but you get the idea, and I learned a new way to mask. Two bleeds on the shoulderblades from the background color seeping in on the edge of the contact paper, other than that, came out great.

You want a disc dyed with the worst codpiece ever seen on film?

Not sure I want to know the answer, but what makes one codpiece better than another? For that matter, what would you say is the best codpiece ever seen on film?

He's got a point, Chuck -- what makes a bad codpiece bad? No doubt it's the most visible codpiece in all of film...

I might just do a Bowie/ Labyrinth disc, one day. You remind me of the babe...

I took it upon myself to do a little research, and I find Chuck's claim to be debatable. There are at the very least, several other contenders.

The culprit in question:

The challengers!:

Not from film, but definitely a contender for "worst":

Also not from film, but both contenders for "best":

Apologies to the OP, but I figure it wouldn't be a proper DGR discussion without threaddrift and homoeroticism.

Hmmm, that's quite the bit of detectoring right there...

Ian Anderson is disqualified from the competition because he's a badass, as well as Gwar. That leaves the rest to fight out the hidden-sausage-fest competition.
