Yeah, as long as he finishes within 3 or 4 strokes of the lead I'll be happy. He always plays it safe and stays right off the lead on the first day - like a great race horse 8)

His putting is a bit of a concern for me though, hopefully he tightens it up as the tourney goes on, soooo much golf left to play.

I have been thinking about this all day and I am wondering what you guys think so if stick golfers were rated the same way we are, what do you think they would be rated in comparison to disc golfers?

I cast my vote for Mr. Couples.

*edit* I posted before I went to ESPN and saw the leaderboard, looks like Freddys at the top. I like his game and it fits the course well.

I know that. I was wondering if any of them would be close to 1100.

How could I forget the Masters? I need to catch it tomorrow...

Too bad Angel isn't doing so well at this point. I'd like to see him join Faldo, Nicklaus and Woods in the back-to-back Masters club. Not going to happen, but still.

Just one thing: Why do you feel the need to call it "ball golf" or "stick golf" or whatever? It's been called golf for centuries and if you use discs, then it's disc golf, not golf.

Fun first round. Gotta love the Masters. Just don't call me a fan. I'm a patron.

Boom Boom Freddy C. is on top of his game. Watson? Trying to prove his run at the Open wasn't a fluke, and doing a good job of it. Phil, getting the job done quite nicely.

I'd bet round 2 scores are quite a bit more modest all around. With bad weather forecast for Thursday, some of the pin positions were more forgiving than usual. Don't know what today's supposed to be like but I'd expect higher scores by the field as a whole.

Anyone else want to see Duval get it together?

Its all great action no matter who is in the hunt.

I'd like to see Duval get it together, but I don't think it's going to happen this week.

As for Couples: I don't think he can keep up this pace. One of the reasons he's been successful on the Champions tour is because they play only 3 rounds during a tournament. Freddie has a bad back, and I'll be surprised if it holds up all week, especially if they move the tees back (they played a short course). However, if they keep it short, I think both Couples and Watson can compete.

Also, my dark horse (AK) is only 2 shots back! Let's see if he can have another 11 birdie round like last year...
