old drivers

I found a few strange old drivers this year:

Pegasus
Moray
Barracuda
Scorpion
Jaguar

They were all beat to hell though. I also still find X clones in the lakes that look like they have been in there for years.

scorpions is a big old wide disc.....i saw a couple noobs using em...

Pegasus may be the gem in that list. I know several people that still throw them, so I think they are still in production.

Also, there was a guy from up north playing the Texas courses, and it seemed like his bread and butter was the jaguar. It's a huge disc...

innova actually did 1 run of about 1000 pegasus last year so the rarity of them has gone way way down.

I had a pegesus some time last year. It was a great forhand fairway driver or perfect for overstable fairway approaches.
it flew like a worn whippet or similar to a beat up viper. I loved it, it beat pretty stable too.

I also recently found a champ. whippet. How rare are those? I found about 800 discs last year and 1 champ whippet, so they must be pretty rare.

champ whippet = 1 run of ~4400 back in 2003.

im sure there are plenty of guys around willing to part with a few discs you would use just for that one (if not part with some cash...)

I forget if it's called a Hammer or Hammer Head, but this Innova disc has a picture of a hammer head shark on it.

I think I still have it in my garage somewhere.

Specialty disc for overhand shots?

No, I don't think so. If it is it's not a very good one as it's not very overstable.
I'd guess the speed is somewhere in line with a Cobra or Panther, with stability somewhere in between the two.

I am an intermediate player, and I absolutely love the sport. Some of my best throws have been hammer style (basically an overhand flick) with which I have had great success avoiding trees and the like with it. That is why I want to review the Hammer from Innova. As the name suggest it is a perfect disc for high power hammer throws. The lip is fairly deep (perfect for forehand flicks and hammers), and the rim is between a Shark and a Roc for sharpness. It has been discontinued and replaced by the discontinued Hammerhead, but it is well worth the price if you can find one.

This is the only info I could find. Mabey it being less stable makes it better for tomohawks (I know I cant get an overstable disc to turn as a tomohawk)

It sounds like it would be a good anny midrange if its between a cobra and a panther. I cant throw a very sucessful tommy, so I dont know if it would be any good for that.

i can throw a 175 monster super far tommie style and it always turns over but it hurts like hell to throw it that hard so i dont throw it that way anymore. in all the discs ive tried i havent noticed any signifacant difference in flight of different discs thrown tommie or thumber.
