Finally have videos

Postby Trey133 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 11:52 am

My friend Lucas video taped some of my throws when i was in BG, they're done with a camera so the quality is decent and they show a plethora of shots from putter shots, roc shots, and big drives.

Let me know what you think, this is the first time i've ever seen myself throw. I noticed two things so far, #1 - I don't have a long reach back, this isn't necessarily bad on the short shots but I am incorporating a more pronounced reach back into my throw now (hopefully this will help, as I was getting outdriven by around 50ft consistently on my big drives in Kentucky).

#2 - my legs look pretty stiff, i'm not exactly sure how to "loosen them up" so to speak, but maybe if I loosened up in the hips/thighs I could get more body rotation and a faster armspeed.

One thing I do notice, I don't have a problem keeping that disc close to my chest! And I think my release times are really spot on.

Where was the final 9 played? I don't recognize that course.

I'll try to comment on your form later.

The final nine was played mostly on the ball golf course next to hobson grove,

Hole 2 of Hobson, and 2 safari holes were used as well in conjunction with the ball golf course.

In addition to reaching back farther with the arm, shoulders, hips and feet you could break eye contact with the target longer. Pushing the elbow forward farther should increase snap.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

I may incorporate that first instead of the longer reachback because I can notably hear and feel the disc come out of my hands and I really like that! It hasn't correlated to increased d yet, but it sure sounds nice!
