Here is a bit of what I have been doing lately...

Sorry the picture is crappy. This was a CTP disc for our local "Ice Bowl"

That CTP disc is BadAss. How did you get the lines so thin? Nice work creating the depth, it looks really polished, and I'd be stoked to get that for a CTP prize.

That's a great compliment...especially considering the source.

Well, recently I have gotten pretty lazy on the dye work and have just started masking the disc with clear vinyl and then cutting the pattern on the disc. I some ways (if I am careful, this is much quicker). Anyway, the thin lines are single cuts with the exacto blade, then before I dip it in the rit, I bend the disc slightly, with my thumbs on top of the flight plate, and the rest of my fingers below. This separates the vinyl just a touch and I have found it will give you super fine lines. Like all of this, it has just been a process of practicing. Generally, I have only used this for small details, but this is the first time I have really done it on a larger scale.

I was gonna say that it looks just like a cut. That's the kinda crap you get when trying to cut text by hand and have lots of overcuts.
Looks clean. I dig it

I think Mario being offset really adds a lot to the disc rather than just centering him. Love the horny toad...don't care for the background/disc color, but the character is awesome. Clean lines and the thin outline on the spots gives it additional dimension.

Thanks...

The Mario was done like that as a requested by my son. Unfortunately on the toad, there are a lot of little "detail cuts" that don't show up well on the photo. Still fun to pull out of the bag and throw.

I got bored and decided to try a spiderman pic on my 11x champ tbird. I am a little disapointed with how the right hand turned out, but it is still pretty cool.

Where in Idaho are you at. I just moved to WV from Idaho Falls? My wife grew up in Roberts ID which is just north of ID.

I live in Pocatello. Freeman Park in IF is great. If you are ever here and up for a round in Pocatello at Bengal Ridge, Sister City, or even Ross, let me know.
