Kifb's Bag

Postby keepitfreshbrah » Wed Apr 28, 2010 2:51 pm

This is my second year playing discgolf, Last year I threw primarily fh and was tossing orcs in the 330 to 350 range. This year I decided to switch to bh in hopes to add more versatility to my game. Currently I am throwing the PD'S in the 320-340 backhand but hope to continue improve that as I get more game play in.

Drivers
172 P-Line Pd
175 S-Line Pd
175 Champ Pd
175 Opto xXx
Midrange
174 Elite Z Comet
177 Elite Z Buzzz
177 Elite Z Wasp
Putter
174 E Hpp Wizard
175 Organic Wizard
175 Organic Wizard (Practice)

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for my bag. Or if you see any missing slot that should be filled. I had a champ leopard in the bag but have recently removed it. I like this set up alot but am open to suggestions. Im starting to think that the xXx may be too overstable for me, but for now it serves its purpose.

Thanks

looks perfect by DGR Überminimalist standards.

a couple of questions:
what do you throw for long range turnovers?
what do you throw for shots between your Buzzz and PD? or is your distance differential between the two not great enough?

I was thinking the same thing. A very beat P-PD might work, but I don't have any yet myself so wouldn't know.

Yea the distance between the buzzz at full power and the slight powering down of the pd is not that great at my range.
As far as a long tunover I have not yet beat in the p pd enough but that is the plan.
Currently I typically fh the champ pd, for now. Maybe I should pick up a roadrunner or avenger ss

well if you can FH over 250 (which i sadly cannot  ) I wouldn't worry about a turnover disc.
if your distance differential between disc classes is not so great then I wouldn't sweat anything right now. when it does then I would suggest a Cyclone or a Gazelle.

Yeah I should lookinto one of those two disc, because sadly a forehand drive and an anny are similar but still two different shots and serve different purposes. I am also looking forward to trying the latitude 64 river when it is released.

The River may be the ticket for both anny and intermediate/control drives so to speak. let us know how it flies.

I've got a nice beat P-PD that is definitely a turnover disc. I also don't find there to be too much gap between a Buzzz and PD.

Considering picking up a control driver now that the buzz's have been out of the bag for a while, looking at cyclone, gazelle, stalker. Not a huge fan of the eagle. Is the cyclone or the gazelle more like the eagle? read through the topic on the equipment section but peoples opinions seem somewhat scattered. Cyclone more versatile, so gazelle straighter? so cyclone is more eagle-like?

what didn't you like about the Eagle? the answer to that will determine what old school driver you should move to. I can't really speak about gazelles but cyclones tend to have different characteristics in each plastic.

I suppose I found the eagle to have alot of side to side movement in its flight and I tend to prefer discs more like the teebird that fly straighter throughout the flight, Most of the courses I play in Michigan are wooded and I found it a bit difficult to hit alot of the gaps with the eagle. Alot of the error is in my own form, but having said that, does this mean that the gazelle or stalker would be a better choice. If i went with the gazelle I would probably have to pick up a cfr being that in the woods the dx would beat in fairly quickly...
