Best Headwear for Hot...Hot...Humid Weather

What's the best headwear for searing, humid heat?

I recently moved to Tennessee, and...it's hot and humid here already.
I currently wear this:

The material feels like a really thin Shamwow, and wicks sweat ridiculously well. It's also very adjustable for size, so my uber dome (7 5/8) can squeeze in without trouble.

But, it's not exactly the coolest thing in the world to wear ball golf gear to the DG course.

Dude, that's a hat. It may have a Nike Golf logo on it somewhere, but it's a damn hat, not golf gear. If you've got time to worry about what logo Nike decided to put on the hat you bought, you should be practicing more. =)

But yeah, sounds like a decent hat, does it have a product name so I could see if it's sold over here?

Nike Dri-Fit Cap or something along those lines. The Featherlite version looks interesting as well.

7-5/8? I wish I could wear a 7-5/8 hat. I have to buy my hats here. And while the people are nice, the selection leaves a little to be desired.

I wear Under Armor hats most of the time, I have a Red/Grey version of this one, mine is a slightly older model - only difference is color pattern.

I don't go dri-fit, but I do fold up a normal bandana and where it on my head. It lets the heat out and mops up the sweat dripping from my brow.

I would rock a visor, but I find it demoralizing to spread sunscreen over my thinning hair.


I've been rocking a North Face cap that's made of some really thin material. I keep a bottle of ice water in my Revy, and when I start to feel overheated I squirt some of it into it and plop it back onto my head. Makes a hot-humid day in Tennessee feel like a hot day in Tennessee...

I have some of the nike featherlites and dri-fits. I like the dri-fits better for disc golf in the heat since they wick moisture better, making them slightly more comfortable, and they keep your head cooler because of the open weave knit. They also look a little nicer than the featherlites. I like the featherlites better for disc in the rain, running in the rain, distance hiking, watersports and stuff. The featherlites are more packable, dry the fastest, and withstand a beating very well without getting dingy looking.
