Sean's Bag

Postby Sean40474 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:21 pm

Just looking for a little bit of help or opinions. I've been on an absolute frenzy buying discs since I started playing a year ago. I had no idea like most and nobody around to give me pointers. I just read a lot and did my research and watched a lot of videos. I've always heard the great debate over "one mold for every shot" or "few molds for every shot".

My form is much more consistent than it used to be (thanks to this site) and I can consistently throw fairway drivers and distance drivers 350' to 360'. When I throw with reckless abandon I have gotten them over 400' on a fair enough occasion. Before this site's infinite wisdom I could consistently throw 300' with some control. Also, since the change, my accuracy off the tee seems to have gone down and I haven't quite figured out how to adjust yet. I do notice that my discs like to go more to the right (i'm RHBH dominant) than they used to do. I'll be putting up a video of my driving for you all to eat....I mean critique soon enough. On to the bag...

Stable Control Drivers
2 DX Teebirds 171g (one new, one slightly beat)
1 Champ Teebird 171g (almost to the sweetspot)
1 P-CD 167g (new)

Distance Drivers
1 DX Valkyrie 175g (slightly beat)
1 Star Katana 167g (new)

Understable Driver
1 KC Pro Gazelle 172g (sweet spot)

Moderately Overstable Driver
1 Pro Starfire 172g (new)
1 Champ Starfire 172g (slightly beat)

Very Overstable Driver
1 Champ Firebird 172g (slightly beat)
1 Z Flick 169g (new)

Mids
2 KC Pro Rocs 175g (one beat, one new)
2 DX Rocs (one beat, one new)
1 FLX Drone 179g (slightly beat)
1 FLX Buzzz 175g (slightly beat)
1 Z Wasp 174g (slightly beat)
1 X Comet 174g (sweet spot)

Putters
2 SS Voodoos 175g

As a side note...I just bought a new bag (smaller one) that will only hold 8-10 discs because I want to slim down. My current bag is Kong that is packed with discs.

There you go. The mids are a little crazy, I think a new KC Roc could replace the Z wasp, but Wasps are nice too. I would proabably do the two KC's.

If they are going to the right, you developed significantly more snap and can ad a touch of hyzer to counter it. OR you got some OAT issues.

I'd really like to think that I've developed more snap as there is a much more audible sound. I know sometimes I'm guilty of OAT...I guess we'll see when I put a video up for all of you to see.

I believe I've narrowed down my bag to:

172 Champ Starfire
175 Star SL

171 Champ Teebird
175 Star Teebird
172 DX Teebird

172 CFR Gazelle
174 DX Gazelle

175 DX Roc
175 JK Aviar

175 Voodoo

I was considering trying out Cyclones and Eagles to replace or add to my Gazelles, but they seem to be tweener discs. I was also considering a DX Beast to have a flippy higher speed driver. I'm curious to know what you think about my current setup and maybe the addition of the aforementioned discs.
